Deadwood

We traveled back in time to play some poker, have a nice dinner at Deadwood Social Club, and visit the Old West and James Butler Hickok’s–aka “Wild Bill”–grave site, among other notable folk heroes.  This famous Wild Bill was shot and killed while playing poker (see “dead man’s hand”-they say two 8’s and two Ace’s, all black & not knowing the 5th card was his last hand of cards) in the “Saloon N0. 10 “.

Also, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid are significant back in the western days in this area of the Black Hills formerly called the Dakota Territory.  We watched the movie actually called “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid” the other day on Netflix and both thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it.  If you get the chance and fancy Western movies, you must see this one!

Looks like a fun time! I love that movie, especially the part where Paul Newman is riding the bike and raindrops keep falling on my head is playing.
