Kayaking to Wild Horse Island

This morning we packed up early– Cyrus having the day off–and started our kayak day voyage to the island: 2.2 miles there, then hike up around Eagle Point Lookout, then rowed three miles back (I took a little detour). At the beginning of the trail we ran into the beautiful wild horses mixed in with about a dozen Rocky Mountain Big Horn Sheep, one deer, and one deer leg. The weather is fabulous; it is the perfect day here in Mission Valley, Montana…but now on the road again.
