We had to stop at Dripping Springs Campground at Natural Falls State Park for a short trek around the creek to view the falls from every angle.

Next stop: a quick hike to the check out the bluff

We finally made it to Richland Creek about 4.5 hours later.  

This place was serenely beautiful, definitely worth the drive!

This is the result of me slipping on a rock while wading in the water in some pretty precarious conditions.  Half of my backpack went under, but somehow I saved the camera and phone!  I need a dry sack.
