1/4 part tequila
1/4 part Mezcal
1/4 part fresh grapefruit juice
1/4 part fresh lime juice
sugar to taste (or make your own simple syrup dissolving sugar in warm water)
Shake all (or swirl altogether in big pitcher) with ice and set aside. Now for my favorite part…mix some fine sea salt with chili powder and spread out on a plate. Take your leftover lime or grapefruit and smear it all around the rim before pouring your concoction into glass. Then tip the glass upside down into chili salt mixture to cover the rim. Finally your glass is ready to be filled with one spicy margarita.
1 c Apple Cider Vinegar
1 c (not quite) local honey
1/4 c fresh Habanero (about 3-4 peppers split in half)
Add peppers to the jar and pour over the honey vinegar concoction. Let sit in refrigerator for 2-3 weeks. Use in dressing, cocktails, and whatever else your creative mind can imagine.
