A Mountain Wedding: day three in Basalt

Finishing touches while awaiting our transportation at hotel in Snowmass…

Specific location:  Roaring Fork Club

The family members enjoying their free shades near the string quartet awaiting the bride and groom

The wedding goodie bag

Shades of lavender

Sorry David’s bald head made every picture.  I couldn’t get around it!

Discovering our table number

The paradox of choice: too many options

I had to have all three and especially preferred the Bandol Rose.

Halibut with heirloom tomatoes showered with shoestring sweet potatoes and basil oil

Our table had the perfect mountain sunset view

I enjoyed the halibut, but others were very pleased with this grilled filet.  Parmesan polenta cake and squash with the blackberry demi made the perfect accompaniment to the filet.

The considerate touch for the ladies: heel covers preventing sink-age into the soil

When we weren’t on the dance floor you could find Lily and me at the bar–not for another Moscow Mule but–hogging all the oxygen…

Last can.  Make it count!

The band flown in from Atlanta was outstanding!  As you can see the dance floor was packed til about 1am.

What a wedding celebration!  So thankful I was a part of this extravagant and memorable 4 day affair amid the Rockies.
