Out and about in Denver

We were headed to Sassafras (located just near Mile High Stadium) but realized it was Broncos game day so rerouted to Jezebel’s Southern Bistro and Bar to experience this delightful surprise.  I have to say this is my first time to be served in a personal sized cast iron skillet and it was wonderful.  This pictured below is  the “SPICY TOMATO” with Arugula, spicy tomato sauce, mushroom, onion, garlic, squash, egg, and Parmesan with home fries, biscuit and an over-sized side of honey butter.

My last morning in Denver I met my cousin out for breakfast at Lucile’s Creole Cafe and enjoyed some beignets, chicory coffee, and eggs Benedict with cheese grits

Luckily I knew this meal was big enough for two

Then we discovered this incredible coffee shop in Cherry Creek.  These baristas[os?] really know what they are doing here:  Aviano Cherry Creek

Silky smooth microfoam

Got local milk?

Susu got a mocha.  It was fabulous and so is she!

My macchiato was pretty great as well.IMG_4742

In Cheesman Park there is this place…

I had the delicious graham cracker toffee in a chocolate and sprinkle dipped kiddie cone.
