I woke up at the crack of dawn to get my first view of Carmel in the daytime and what a sight it was. My balcony had a magically delightful ocean view! I brought my book out (which I never opened) and a cup of coffee to accompany me, but I just couldn’t take my eyes off of the ever-changing sky and rocky coast.
Salt or bird poop–that is the question? Not a glacier or an iceberg! haha
Enjoyed a little coffee and English muffins to take in the view here at the hotel once more before heading into the village of Carmel for a proper breaky. We only stayed one night in this gorgeous seaside city…too eager to move on to Big Sur and see everything along the way!
We filled our bellies at a European style cafe called La Bicyclette on delicious egg creations and mimosas. After breakfast, we took the seaside drive in Carmel to get a peek of Clint Eastwood’s Ranch–Mission Ranch–where we saw a big flock of sheep and more great views of the water.
