Foster Dog and Friends

Meet sweet pea Penny!  I found her at the Denver Animal Shelter by accident and decided she needed some major TLC.  When I first met Penny, it was’t love at first sight at least for her…but I do think it was love at first smell!  See Penny really couldn’t see, because her hair was so…

The New Orleans of Colombia

Only two things went wrong on our first trip together during our 8 days in Colombia, South America: mice men Mice and men made for more entertaining stories on this trip.  I am getting to the mice on this post; bad men will come into play in Medellin. Let’s begin with what went right, choosing…

Christmas Time in Mountain Country

My home-made…

Raining Coffee and Beer

To start the day, I had coffee at Common Grounds prior to an interview in downtown Denver, which I thought went quite well.  Then I walked a ways down the road  and met a friend we all know as Cyrus at Purple Door Coffee.  After doing some work there we had lunch at this awesome…

Beryl’s Beer Co.

This brewery has some great aged beer options and a pleasant atmosphere with the friendliest service.  Enjoyed the Dry Hopped Pale Ale sample as well. With the open garage door entrance, you get the best of both worlds here–shelter from the weather on the not so perfect days whilst enjoying Beryls Beer over whiffs of the fresh mountain air….

Boulder and Brews

After our hike up in Nederland, we picked up Frank in Boulder and check out the new Avery Brewing Company.  I love Frank’s house, especially his heated pool and his dog Hazel (she appreciates the pool as well).  He offered to share his local beer collection too!  After one post hike beer and collecting all…

Adobe Central

About noon, I made it to Taos!  Even better, I didn’t even get a speeding ticket! I got a goat cheese+raspberry+chili dark chocolate truffle here and checked out the pricey cashmere at this charming little shop tucked in the trees. I stopped in here for a little snack.  The kale salad was scrumptious but wasn’t…

Durango Unchained

Almost there! Streets are all cleared in preparation for the legendary mountain biking race called Iron Horse Bicycle Classic. Baby Bicycle Classic: this was just moments before this toddler on the right crashed as he was attempting the turn and balled his little lungs out, haha…I mean poor little fella.           Dead on this end.  All the…

A “Strange Brewery” and an “Epic” one
